Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” – John 4:13-14
Through this interaction, Jesus was revealing to the Samaritan woman at the well His true identity as the Messiah, the Savior of the world. He used this parable to illustrate to her that she would always become thirsty again after drinking the well water, but, the “water” He offered, salvation, would lead her to eternal life. This free, most precious gift, is offered to all of us. May this beautiful image remind you of Jesus’ love for each and every one of us. No matter our past, He will redeem all for those who will believe in Him!
