Sent Out

Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground. – Genesis 8:8

Just as Noah sent out the dove from the ark in search of dry land, so too are we sent out to find the dry places. These are the places where Jesus is unknown, the places void of his presence, even the places where he is despised. Mark 16:15 states that we are to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” May this beautiful image be a reminder of that Great Commission.
