Jesus Calmed

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” – Mark 4:39-41

How many times have we doubted? How many times has it felt like even having faith the size of a mustard seed [Matthew 17:20] was impossible? As the disciples watched the storm grow in intensity around them, they panicked. They thought Jesus had abandoned them! May this beautiful painting serve as a reminder that He will never leave us or forsake us [Hebrews 13:5], especially during life’s storms.
