Last Supper

When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.” – Luke 22:14-16

Jesus gathered in the upper room with His disciples to partake of a Passover meal on the day of Unleavened Bread. With them, He drank of the cup and ate of the unleavened bread, representing His impending death on the cross, and entering us into the new Covenant. As we take Communion today, we remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and his victory over death so that we all might be saved!
