Jonah rebelled from God. He refused to do what he was called to do. This exhilarating scene shows Jonah Pursued by the huge fish. However, Jonah was not just being pursued by a big fish, he was also being pursued by God. How many times have we rebelled, gone our own way, or told God “No” only to be swallowed up by the circumstances that we find ourselves in? But, regardless of our pride and disobedience, God still pursues us and gives us a safe place to land when we return to him.
