He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’” - Luke 24:6-7
The empty cross is our reminder that Jesus is victory over death! Because He was crucified and rose again on the third day, we know we too can have victory over the finality of death, for, if we believe in Him, we will live forever with Him in heaven!
